Beef stroganoff
Ingredients
- 500g frying steak
- 500g mushrooms
- 1/2 bottle of red wine
- Knob of butter
- Plain flour (for thickening)
- 150ml double cream
- 6 tsp paprika
- 200g onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- Beef stock cube
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 tsp parsley
- 3 tsp sage
- White pepper
- Black pepper
- Salt
Method
- Melt the knob of butter in a casserole dish.
- Fry the onions and garlic.
- Add the paprika, parsley, sage, and mushrooms (keep stirring).
- Add the beef, red wine, and cream (keep stirring).
- Stir in the honey and stock cube.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Put the lid on and put in a preheating oven (140) for 2-3 hours.
- Thicken the sauce if needed with flour.
