Basic cupcakes
Ingredients
- 115g stork or butter
- 115g caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 140g self raising flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Icing
- 85g stork or butter
- 225 icing sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp milk
Method
- Beat all the ingredients with a wooden spoon in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
- Divide between 12 cupcake paper cases.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool on a wire tray.
- For the icing, beat all ingredients together.
- Once the mixture is light and creamy, add the food colouring you want.
